I am a Licensed Massage Practitioner (MA60233907), Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Educator of Infant Massage, Nationally Approved  Massage Instructor, Certified Phenomenal Touch Practitioner® and I absolutely love what I do! I went to the Northwest School of Massage in Kirkland, Washington in 2005 and before that I had been involved with massage and bodywork on a limited basis for well over 10 years. I originally got interested in body work through my involvement in boxing, traditional martial arts and then Mixed Martial Arts. I was a professional Muay Thai kick boxer for several years and I fought in several different countries including Thailand, the Philippines, Canada and the United States and I was fortunate enough to win a Title Belt and hold it for a couple of years until I retired from the sport. It is obvious that your body takes quite a beating as a professional fighter, what is not so obvious is that your mind and soul are challenged to their limits as well. So during these years I sought out many different bodywork styles and relaxation practices.

Through these experiences, my education and years of practice I have been able to combine the best techniques from several different bodywork modalities and relaxation practices into my current massage practice which provides for a very unique, therapeutic and unbelievably relaxing massage experience.

I am also a NCBTMB nationally approved provider of continuing Education for licensed massage therapists and practitioners and I am committed to life-long learning and improving. You can see a list of the recent continuing education courses that I have taken here. In addition, I am very interested in understanding and sharing the powerful concepts of sustained, intentional touch in my massage practice, workshops and everyday life. To that end, I teach several massage workshops and classes. I am the lead instructor for the Power of Touch Couple’s Massage Workshops and I am also teaching classes on Thai Massage, Lomi Lomi and other styles.

I have a passion for sharing the power of touch with others whether it is through my massage practice, my workshops or just a casual conversation; so please feel free to contact me to discuss anything regarding touch, massage and bodywork.

World Massage ChampionshipsIMAlogo_virkevirk
I am really excited to announce that I will be competing at the World Championship of Massage in Copenhagen, Denmark in June of 2017. It is a great event that will allow me to meet and practice with the some of the best and most unique massage therapists in the world…as well as to allow me to explore the more competitive aspects of my psyche! PS – If you know any other really great therapists, encourage them to apply, we need more people from the US.

New Client Intake Form
You can download my Client Intake Form and fill it out before your appointment if you want to. It will save some time when you get here and give you the ability to think more about your answers and what you want to focus on during your massage. It is also a good idea for existing clients who may not have been in for a while or who have experienced some changes with their body, etc, to fill out a new form.
