Here are what I consider to be the most important points about my massage

1) It is actually your massage and I am very good at adapting my massage skills to your personal preferences to make sure that you get the massage experience that you want. So the more that you can tell me about what you want, the better I can tailor my massage to your needs. That being said, I have a very intuitive touch and I am good at adapting my massage to your body even if you are not sure what you are looking for.

2) I limit the number of massages that I give. I usually do not do more than two or three massages a day, every now and then I might do four, but that is a rare day. The reason that I do this is because I put a lot of effort, physical and mental, into every massage to make it the best experience possible and that just is not going to happen if I am giving eight massages a day…

3) I employ a wide variety of styles into my personal massage practice. I am an avid student and teacher of massage and bodywork. I am constantly improving and changing my techniques to create the best massage experience possible for each individual client. Even though the underlying style for all of my massage work is a style that I created and call Deep Lomi. My massage often includes Lomi Lomi, Thai Massage, Deep Tissue, Thai Yoga Massage, Forearm Massage and others.

4) My Signature Massage Styles! I have received, studied and taught many different styles of massage and bodywork. As a result I have come up with a couple of very distinct massage styles and experiences that I feel are very unique, effective and all together wonderful!

5) My Pricing – Basically $60 per hour.
I could easily charge $90 per hour or more for my bodywork but I am honestly not doing this to get rich financially.  I keep my suggested rates extremely low for the quality of bodywork that I give and I try to keep them very simple as well, basically $60 per hour or part thereof with a few additional fees for special services or travel. I also try to keep my prices flexible so life does not get in the way of a good massage. To that end, I gladly accept gratuities from those who feel it is appropriate and can afford it and I gladly discount my rates (as often as reasonably possible) for those who need the work but genuinely can’t afford it (because I’ve been there as well).

Here are some answers to questions that you might have about my “normal” relaxation and wellness massage routine. I put normal in quotations because it seems like no two massages are ever exactly the same and I use the terms relaxation and wellness massage to differentiate between these and a more specific therapeutic massage, hot massage or deep tissue work, etc.

I recommend at least 90 minutes for a really good, full body massage, primarily because it is just too hard to do the full body justice in only an hour. If you only have an hour available for your massage, make sure that I know the areas that you want the most attention paid to as well as the areas that you are least concerned about so I can make sure to allocate my time accordingly.

My Style
I have a strong and intuitive touch. Most of the time this translates into a very deep and satisfying massage. However, I also enjoy light touch/pressure modalities and I am very comfortable with them as well (i.e pregnancy massage, still-point work, etc.) I use my hands, forearms, elbows and even my knees from time to time. Unless there are things that need special attention, I usually spend a lot of time on the back, shoulders, neck and glutes (if you want work done there). If you like stomach work (which is really great for you), let me know.

I am playing a lot of Liquid Mind right now but you are free to bring your own CD, IPOD, phone or whatever you use to play your favorite music and I can plug them into my sound system.  I also have Pandora hooked up to my system so you can select anything you want from there as well. I am constantly encouraging my clients to customize their massage experience as much as they want.

Thai Stretching
If you would like to start or end your massage session with some Thai Stretching, let me know and we can decide how much time to devote to that.

I have a private bathroom for my clients, so you are free to take a shower before or after your massage. You can even get ready for a night on the town or for work.  Some of my Hot Massage clients will take a very cool shower midway through their massage for some hot/cold contrast therapy.
