CHABA:

Cannabis Health and Beauty Aids

A Deeper Discussion

CHABA Legal Definition

CHABA is a legislatively created acronym for Cannabis Health & Beauty Aids. Which are mostly topically applied products that have less than 0.3% THC and are considered non-psychoactive (non-intoxicating, non-euphoric) and will not leave you feeling high during or after your massage. The CHABA legislation defines products that have less than .03% THC as not being marijuana, even though the products have therapeutic amounts of THC. This action effectively removes CHABAs from the Washington Controlled Substances Act allowing them to be sold and used just about anywhere health conscious consumers shop. For legal references you can look at the Washington State RCW: RCW 69.50.575 or the Washington State FAQ page for massage therapists.
