August 2026 Massage Retreat

Come enjoy four days and three nights of bodywork, conversation, relaxation, and a whole lot of fun with some amazing massage therapists.


I try to host one of these Massage Therapist Getaways three or four times a year, and they are always amazing. These are cooperative, unscripted retreats, which means there is usually no set agenda and no formal teaching unless we decide to build something in.


We find a great place to share, split the costs, and everyone brings some food and drinks to contribute. That keeps these getaways very affordable while also making them feel relaxed, collaborative, and personal.


If you have been to one of my massage parties or other no-pressure massage therapist gatherings, just imagine four days of that.


August 17th to August 20th Massage Therapist Getaway

This 6,000-plus-square-foot house in Tacoma has an indoor 10-foot-deep pool with a pool bar, arcade games, a movie theater room, pool and foosball tables, outdoor basketball, with a giant kitchen and a dining table for 14. This house was one of the first places we used for a retreat after the Covid years, and no one who went to that one will ever forget it. This year, we are staying an extra night so we won’t feel so rushed, and we have built in 12 optional CE hours, including 8 hours of Deep Lomi Thai Fusion and 4 hours of some insanely fun ethics.


We will be staying at some more exceptional properties over the next year, but none this close or this fun.

Pricing

Twelve single beds in shared rooms: **$395 per person**

One single bed in a private room: **$445 per person**

Two queen beds in private rooms for couples or thrifty friends: **$347.50 per person**


Optional CE Hours

This getaway includes the option to participate in 12 CE hours:



These are optional, so you can participate in the CE portions, relax, trade bodywork, hang out, swim, talk, eat, or do whatever makes the getaway feel best for you.


No Refunds

Because of the cooperative nature of these getaways, they only work if everyone shows up. For that reason, I can’t offer refunds if you decide to cancel or are unable to make it.


That said, I will do what I can to help find someone to take your spot, and you are welcome to do the same.


Payments

You can make a deposit and pay in installments.


Cooperative Food and Cleanup

In addition to the generous selection of community snacks and beverages we will be providing, everyone will also bring some food and drinks to share, and we will all help with food prep and cleanup.


This is actually one of the cooler parts of the stay because it turns out massage therapists love to show off their favorite foods, and they are usually pretty awesome cooks.


If you don’t want to bring something specific, you can simply donate to the community food fund instead.
